Assistant Head Teacher - Secondary-Science
Dr Almartino Richards brings over 18 years of teaching and leadership experience to GEMS Westminster School – Ras Al Khaimah. He began his career as a science teacher at Munro College in Jamaica and later worked across several UK schools, consistently securing strong student outcomes in disadvantaged communities through his subject expertise and engaging instructional practice. His impact in the classroom led to his appointment as Head of Science, where he strengthened curriculum delivery and raised departmental performance. Dr Almartino progressed to Assistant Principal and subsequently Vice Principal at Haberdashers’ Knights Academy in London, contributing significantly to whole‑school improvement and academic growth. He holds a Doctorate from the University of Greater Manchester, with published research that advances modern science pedagogy and effective school leadership. As a published author, he continues to shape educational thinking beyond the classroom. Dr Almartino now brings his strategic insight, academic rigour, and student‑centred leadership to GEMS Westminster School- Ras Al Khaimah.
